Pap Smears are used to detect early signs of cervical cancer and certain infections like the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) or any cell changes that could lead to cancer.
Please note: A consultation is required for the pap smear.

During your appointment:
An initial consult with an OBGYN will take place, and after the consult, the OBGYN will perform the pap smear
Our Kindred OBGYNs start by gently inserting a speculum into the vagina to see the cervix. Afterwards, a small brush is used to collect cells from the cervix. The procedure is quick and may cause slight discomfort and light spotting, but is generally painless.
After your Pap Smear:
Expect results or findings to be sent to you via email in 2-3 days.
Depending on your results, you can schedule a follow-up consultation or an HPV Vaccine.
A pap smear is recommended for those aged 25 years old and above regardless of sexual activity.
