What to expect

A whole abdominal ultrasound is conducted by Kindred’s OBGYN, Gastroenterologist, Urologist and/or Radiologist and can take up to 30 minutes. To ensure a smooth and successful procedure, preparation includes fasting 8-10 hours before the test (only a light, non-greasy meal 8-10 hours beforehand), and no infusions such as tea or coffee. Avoid cellulosic foods such as greens, legumes, vegetables and fruits, as well as dairy products (milk, yogurt) from the day before.
