Electrocautery is a procedure that uses heat from an electric current to target abnormal tissue, such as a tumor or other lesions. It may also be used to control bleeding during surgery or after an injury. This service is the electrocautery of medium to large lesions in the skin and vulvar area under local anesthesia (excluding lesions in the vagina).

VALIDITY: 6 months

This service includes a doctor’s consult to undergo the procedure of electrocauterization of medium to large external lesions in the skin and vulvar area.

No special preparation is needed for this procedure. If you have a history of  excessive bleeding, like nosebleeds, your doctor may request a lab test for anemia or a clotting disorder.

Several days before your surgery, your doctor may tell you to stop taking blood-thinning medications such as: aspirin, ibuprofen, warfarin.

Stop smoking on the days leading up to your procedure.

There is no need for fasting because the procedure will use local anesthesia.
This service is ideal for anyone who wants to consult with a licensed doctor regarding lesions in the skin and vulvar area regarding electrocauterization.
