Occupational therapy (OT) offers treatment for individuals who have issues with movement and coordination. This type of therapy assists patients in improving their motor skills needed in everyday tasks, such as writing or getting dressed.

These motor skills also include fine and gross motor skills and motor planning. Occupational therapists also work on coordination, balance, and self-regulation skills for the improvement of patients’ everyday activities.

Occupational Therapy Screening involves reviewing a patient to determine strengths, limitations, and the need for further assessment.

Please note: Once you've booked, our nurses will reach out within 24-48 hours for your consultation schedule. Please wait for a message in the email address you have provided! For urgent concerns, please prioritize a visit to the Emergency Room.

The validity period for claiming your order is 6 months. Kindred reserves the right to cancel orders unclaimed within this period.

Occupational Therapy Screening is a pre-requisite to Occupational Therapy Evaluation / Re-evaluation and Intervention. Occupational Therapy Evaluation / Re-evaluation and Intervention may only be purchased after proper endorsement from your doctor. A doctor's request will be required before checking out.

Occupational Therapy Screening is a 30-minute session with Kindred’s OT. It is a pre-requisite before undergoing Evaluation / Re-evaluation and Intervention to determine a patient’s eligibility for OT services. If your OT advises that you should pursue these services, they should write you an endorsement. A doctor’s request will be required before checking out.
The need for OT can come up at any age and for a wide range of reasons. Lifelong conditions that impact motor skills in early childhood, such as developmental coordination disorder (DCD) can be managed with OT, and it is most effective in children. The earlier the intervention with OT, the better.

OT may also be provided for adults aged 18 and above:
• With a mental health diagnosis for rehabilitation or habilitation to promote occupational performance
• Without a mental health diagnosis for the promotion of health and wellness
• Without a mental health diagnosis for prevention of mental health concerns
