A doppler ultrasound assesses blood flow in parts of the fetus such as the umbilical cord, brain, and heart to determine the ability of the fetus to absorb oxygen and nutrients. As part of routine antenatal care, it can help identify mothers and babies at risk for adverse outcomes by checking the blood vessels in the placenta and uterus of pregnant women. This procedure is conducted 32 weeks into pregnancy.

Please note: Once you've booked, our nurses will reach out within 24-48 hours for your schedule. Please wait for a message in the email address you have provided! For urgent concerns, please prioritize a visit to the Emergency Room.

This service may only be purchased after proper endorsement from your doctor. Book a consultation with a Kindred doctor today to learn more about what ultrasound service you need.

A doctor's request will be required before checking out.

A doppler ultrasound is conducted by Kindred’s OB-Sonologist. To ensure a smooth and successful procedure, your Kindred nurse or doctor will give you instructions to arrive at the clinic with a full bladder and avoid urinating 30 minutes before your ultrasound.
Women who have reached 32 weeks of pregnancy can get a doppler ultrasound.
