A whole abdominal ultrasound examines the blood vessels and major organs in the abdominal cavity such as the gallbladder, intestines, kidneys, liver, pancreas, and spleen to check if you have a condition affecting any of these body areas.

Please note: Once you've booked, our nurses will reach out within 24-48 hours for your schedule. Please wait for a message in the email address you have provided! For urgent concerns, please prioritize a visit to the Emergency Room.

This service may only be purchased after proper endorsement from your doctor. Book a consultation with a Kindred doctor today to learn more about what ultrasound service you need.

A doctor's request will be required before checking out.

A whole abdominal ultrasound is conducted by Kindred’s OBGYN, Gastroenterologist, Urologist and/or Radiologist and can take up to 30 minutes. To ensure a smooth and successful procedure, preparation includes fasting 8-10 hours before the test (only a light, non-greasy meal 8-10 hours beforehand), and no infusions such as tea or coffee. Avoid cellulosic foods such as greens, legumes, vegetables and fruits, as well as dairy products (milk, yogurt) from the day before.
Patients who need to examine the major organs in their abdominal cavity such as the gallbladder, kidneys, liver, pancreas, and spleen may get a whole abdominal ultrasound as per their doctor’s advice.
